‘Haunt’ to vie at Garden State Film Festival

Iranian short ‘Haunt’ is to vie at the Garden State filmfest in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Haunt’ has been slated to vie at the Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) in the US.

Siamak Kashef-Azar’s directorial debut is to represent Iran at the 2021 edition of the US event.

‘Haunt’, made in 2019, is a 17-minute short film about a gambling addict named Reza.

Without even knowing it, Reza loses something important during a game. When he comes back home, he looks for a way to escape.

Featuring Hamidreza Azarang and Bahar Mohammadpour, ‘Haunt’ made its international debut at the 15th River's Edge International Film Festival in the US.

Also slated to vie at the Taos Shortz Film Fest in the US, it has been honored at a number of global events, including the 2020 monthly Assurdo Film Festival in Italy and the 2020 Seattle Film Summit in the US.

Founded in 2002, the GSFF is a major cultural and economic event in Asbury Park, New Jersey which debuts more than 200 independent films annually over four days each spring.

The 2021 edition of the GSFF is slated for March 23-28.
